This is the standard router bit included with the Castle 110.    This bit has a 8mm cutting diameter with a shank size of 8mm.  This Helix (Up-Cut) Roughing Cutter Bit the has been exclusively designed for use in the Castle 110 when cutting pockets in Softwoods, Hardwoods, Melamine, and Plywood.  This bit excels at cutting the pockets in dense Hardwoods due to the Helix (Up-Cut) roughing geometry.  Use this bit when your more interested in cutting speed (fastest chip removal) than pocket quality.  

NOTE: If you need super clean/chip free pockets in these materials please use the Smooth Router Bit with Reverse-Helix geometry (Down-Cut)  [Part B02516] OR the Reverse-Helix (Down-Cut) roughing bit [Part B02517] which is a great compromise with fast chip removal and good quality pockets with minimal tear out.
