This is a 8mm cutting diameter, shank size of 8mm, Reverse Helix (down-cut) roughing cutter for the Castle 110.  This Reverse Helix Roughing Cutter Bit the has been exclusively designed for use in the Castle 110 when cutting pockets in Softwoods, Hardwoods, Melamine, and Plywood.  This bit is a great compromise when fast chip removal and good quality pockets with minimal tear out are required.  The reverse helix (down-cut) geometry will give a cleaner pocket than the standard helix roughing bit [Part B02518]with almost the same cutting speed.  

NOTE: If you need super clean/chip free pockets in these materials please use the Smooth Router Bit with Reverse-Helix geometry (Down-Cut)  [Part B02516]   OR  use the Helix (Up-cut) roughing cutter when fast chip removal and bit longevity is a concern [Part B02518]
