Screws
Castle screws are specifically designed by Castle. Screws are #7 size, course threaded with a Type 17 XL drilling tip for extra material relief and less chance of checking upon screw entry. Screws are available in torx and square drive. If you preload your screw in the pocket and bring your driver down to it, then a torx drive is recommended. If you tip-load the screw onto the driver bit and bring that down to the pocket, then a square drive is recommended. These screws work great in most composites like melamine and plywood, as well as softwood and hardwoods up to the density of hickory.
